Before beginning your hike at the Inca Trail’s Km 104, you will take an amazing scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley. As you hike along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, you will pass several remarkable archaeological sites (Chachabamba and Winay Wayna) You will ultimately get to the Sun Gate where your first panoramic picture of Machu Picchu will leave a lasting memory. Unlike most other visitors to the site, you will be walking into the sanctuary using the original Inca Trail route.
After your hike, you will have the chance to relax at a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes before heading back to Machu Picchu for your guided private tour the next morning. The Vistadome Observation Train with panoramic windows an observation car with an open roof, live performances of local culture, as well as fabulous views of the Sacred Valley will complete an incredible two-day adventure in the Andes.
Please note, The Luxury Short Inca Trail follows the official route established by the government and an Inca Trail permit is required to trek along this route. It is recommended that you purchase your permit well in advance as they tend to sell out quickly especially during peak season.
